age 5 and achieve developmental and school success by age 9.
EHECC, founded in 1998, supports children, families and workers in the field of early care and education.
Celebrate the Week of the Young Child
Join Us at the Fifth Annual Children’s Fair
Presented by the East Haven Early Childhood Collaborative, with funding from the William Casper Graustein Memorial Fund.
• Date: Saturday, April 27th, 2013 for Kids ages Birth – 8.
• Hours: 10AM till 1PM, Rain or Shine at Overbrook Early Learning Center 60 Gerrish Ave.
• The Children’s Fair is free to the public and features crafts, games, Touch–a–Truck, a roving magician, Curious Creatures, Amber Alert Cards sponsored by East Haven Rotary Club, and interactive musical entertainment by the acclaimed multicultural music group, Sirius Coyote.
• Information and representatives will be available from many local agencies and departments who support early childhood.
• Please support our community by bringing nonperishable canned cooks and food items for the Food Pantry, or dog food for the Animal Shelter.

2013 KINDER PREP SERIES INFORMATION
Please join us for the 2013 Kinder Prep Series starting February 27, 2013. The Kinder prep series is designed to help families understand the skills that help children enter kindergarten ready to learn. Topics include math, health and fitness, science, literacy and music and movement. Participants will receive resources and activities to do with their children at home. Individuals who attend all six sessions will receive a $20 gift card to Stop & Shop.
The East Haven Kinder Prep program is designed to increase parent’s knowledge of important developmental milestones of their children allowing them to enter school developmentally on track and ready to learn.
